Our client are a top tier consultancy looking for an Azure Data Architect on a 6 months contract.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement data architecture strategies to support Business Intelligence and analytics needs.
Architect and deploy data solutions in Microsoft Azure, leveraging Azure Synapse Analytics for data warehousing.
Design and build ETL pipelines and data processing frameworks using Azure Data Factory and Databricks to ensure efficient data flow.
Develop and manage data models, schemas, and metadata to support data analytics and reporting.
Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into robust data architectures.
Ensure data security and compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Provide guidance on Spark-based data processing frameworks for Real Time and batch data.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipelines to enhance performance and reliability.
Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and other team members to ensure seamless data integration and accessibility.
Required Skills and Experience
Proven experience as a Data Architect, with a strong focus on Azure Cloud services.
Expertise in Azure Synapse Analytics, Data Factory, Databricks, Spark, and ETL processes.
Strong knowledge of SQL and experience in creating complex data models and schemas.
Experience with data lakes and data warehousing principles, with proficiency in designing large-scale data storage and retrieval solutions.
Solid understanding of data governance, security best practices, and data management principles.
Ability to troubleshoot and optimize Spark jobs for performance improvements.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Develop and generate regular and ad-hoc reports for compliance, audit, and risk management purposes. Establish and maintain data quality standards related to IAM. Ensure accurate and consistent data entry, storage, and retrieval in IAM systems. Monitor and analyze user access rights, ensuring that the appropriate level of access is maintained across various platforms, applications, and systems.
