Manufacturing Engineer – Assembly
Due to an increase in the volume of work, we’re looking for several Manufacturing Engineers to work with a global engine manufacturer in Stafford on a contract basis.
Based onsite you will have the opportunity to work with a new major Engine coming into production ensuring efficiency and innovation.
What are we looking for?
Experienced in the application of lean methodologies including Six Sigma and Kaizen improvement tools.
Knowledge of systems and controls
Good understanding of an operations environment.
Experience with pinpoint / manufacturing execution systems would be beneficial.
Appreciation of an engine hot test environment (role specific)
Ideally experience with Beckoff and Allen Bradley PLCs (role specific)
Ideally experience with software programming / coding – Visual Basic, C++, Python (role specific)
IOSH certificate is desirable
What will you do?
We’re looking for Manufacturing Engineers to support various divisions in assembly, paint shop and the hot test facility, where you may be involved in the following;
Participating in identifying and implementing enhancements and modifications to equipment and processes.
Rebalancing work, and getting the manufacturing line up and ready
Focusing on assembly process
Monitoring equipment and process reliability; identifying and addressing problem areas.
Analysing engineering change notices, determines any part or process change, initiates and implements all changes.
Providing engineering support on planning, development, operation, and maintenance of equipment, processes, or facilities.
