Job Specifications
We're Hiring: Crystal Reports Developer (Contractor, Hybrid)
At FermionX Manufacturing, we don’t just build electronics—we support our partners in getting their products to market with quality, consistency and care. As a third-generation family business with nearly 50 years' experience, we know that the best outcomes come from deep understanding and clear communication.
We're looking for an experienced Crystal Reports Developer to support us on a short-term contract. This role will be essential in helping us clean up and develop a suite of production and business reports, based on our ERP data.
What you’ll do:
Work closely with our Managing Director, who understands the back-end data intimately, but needs expertise in Crystal Reports to bring it to life.
Build, modify, and troubleshoot a set of reports that will be used across our business for decision-making and process monitoring.
Translate raw ERP data into clear, usable reports for production, quality, and commercial teams.
Be self-sufficient but collaborative - we’re not looking to micro-manage, but we are looking to support.
Contract details:
Duration: Approx. two weeks of focused work initially, with potential for ad hoc support thereafter.
Location: Hybrid. Ideally, we’d like you on-site in Worthing to get started, but not a must, and flexible working is possible.
Rate: Competitive, depending on experience.
What we’re looking for:
Proven experience building Crystal Reports in a business or manufacturing context.
Strong communication skills - you’ll be working directly with internal stakeholders who know the data well but not the reporting tools.
Ability to translate technical data into digestible, decision-driving formats.
Why FermionX? We’re a trusted partner to industries ranging from medical to automotive and defence, delivering PCBA, wiring and full box builds from our purpose-designed South Coast facility. As a team, we value reliability, clear communication and continuous improvement - and we’re proud of the quality stamp our name carries.
If this sounds like your kind of project, we’d like to hear from you.
