We are seeking a highly experienced Senior UAT/Test Manager to lead and drive the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phase of a large-scale Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM implementation. This role is critical in ensuring the successful delivery of a fit-for-purpose solution and will involve close collaboration with internal stakeholders, subject matter experts (SMEs), users, and an external implementation partner.
You will bring strong leadership, program oversight, and hands-on testing experience, especially within large transformation programs involving Azure DevOps, vendor management, and business change.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and own the full UAT phase of the CRM implementation program.
Develop a robust UAT strategy, test plans, scripts, and execution schedules, aligned with project timelines and business objectives.
Coordinate testing activities with internal testers, SMEs, and business users.
Work alongside and oversee the testing efforts of the implementation partner to ensure quality, transparency, and accountability.
Provide hands-on guidance and mentorship to the internal testing team (Test Lead and 3 Testers) to uplift their knowledge of Dynamics 365 and Azure DevOps.
Liaise with the internal attesting function to ensure alignment on quality standards, governance, and compliance requirements.
Drive the use of Azure DevOps for test case management, defect tracking, and reporting.
Be a key point of contact for vendor management, ensuring external partners meet SLAs, quality benchmarks, and collaborative expectations.
Champion best practices in UAT, quality assurance, and continuous improvement within the testing function.
Regularly report on progress, risks, and test outcomes to stakeholders and project leadership.
Essential Experience & Skills:
Proven experience leading UAT phases in large-scale CRM implementations, ideally Dynamics 365.
Strong understanding of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement modules and business processes.
Excellent Azure DevOps knowledge for managing test cases, plans, and bugs.
Demonstrated experience in coaching and developing test teams, uplifting internal capability, and knowledge transfer.
Experience working closely with vendors and implementation partners – holding them to account and ensuring collaborative delivery.
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills – confident interacting with senior leaders, SMEs, and end users.
Comfortable in a hands-on role while providing strategic leadership.
Ability to operate in a hybrid working model with frequent presence in the Edinburgh office.
