Senior Civil Engineer

We're partnering exclusively with a well established water sector company to appoint a Senior Civil Engineer on a contract basis. This is a key addition in the civils team, with direct responsibility for managing quality and technical delivery across clean water projects.

You’ll be working on a regional capital programme covering both infrastructure and non infrastructure upgrades, including WTW refurb, boosters, mains, and site civils.

What you’ll be responsible for:
Line management of Civil Engineers (feedback sessions, appraisals, technical sign off, workload planning)
QA and technical review of scopes, drawings, and job packs
Supporting capital delivery through technical input and documentation
Leading on CDM, site information, and design documentation
Liaising with internal stakeholders and third parties to support project approvals
Attending site to conduct audits, support contractors, and ensure quality
Working closely with PMs on programme, risk and cost implications

What you’ll need:
HND, HNC or Degree in Civil Engineering
Chartered or working towards Chartership (ICE or similar)
Background in the water sector or similar regulated industry
Strong understanding of infrastructure and non infrastructure assets
Working knowledge of CDM 2015 and NEC
Confident communicator with sound engineering judgement
Experience in managing and mentoring junior engineers
