Overview

At Harnham we're working with a tech start-up in London who are looking for a Data Scientist to help lead their efforts in performance marketing and customer behaviour analysis.

They have an established data team within the organisation tackling a range of problems, and are growing their data science team to help bring a more sophisticated approach to key areas.

There is a fun and relaxed culture, as well as a passion for using data to help companies in the financal services space make better decisions and maximise their ROI from marketing efforts!

THE ROLE

You Will Be

Helping to lead data science efforts related to marketing problems and customer behaviour for the company (e.g. segmentations, propensity modelling, LTV, market mix modelling, attribution modelling etc).
Help promote the company's data-driven culture
Work closely with other teams including engineering, product, pricing and CRM
Come up with creative ways for the company to get results using data
Pushing the boundaries and exploring new and innovative techniques

Skills And Expertise

You must have:

A BSc or MSc in a STEM subject (e.g. Maths, Stats, Computer Science, Physics etc)
Experience programming with Python
Knowledge of a database query (SQL )
Experience in using machine learning to solve customer/marketing-related problems

SALARY

In this role you could earn up to £50,000 + benefits.

Our data engineers work with our participant data (including various health records from the NHS, genetic data, Our Future Health’s own questionnaires) and build pipelines and systems to process it, control quality and create data releases for researchers. Our Future Health will be the UK’s largest ever health research programme, bringing people together to develop new ways to detect, prevent, and treat diseases. We are a charity, supported by the UK Government, in partnership with charities and industry. We work closely with the NHS and with public authorities across all nations and regions of the UK. What You’ll Be Doing Your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Support the design and building of data pipelines from data providers to our primary data store and trusted research environment, using languages such as Python. Produce logic for data transformation steps as code, which meets the requirements for our end users and builds well curated, accessible, and quality controlled data for analysis. Keep abreast of best practice in data engineering across industry, research and Government and facilitating the adoption of standards. Working with researchers to understand the data requirements and work with them to deliver the data needed for their projects.
