Job Description
As a Senior Network Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing, operating, and supporting multi-tenant, scalable network solutions. You will routinely review, analyze, and recommend network improvements to ensure that the network can scale with the needs of the applications and services riding on it and providing on-call support to maintain network performance and security.
Responsibilities
Gather and review network requirements for connecting various bidirectional systems.
Plan and execute the approved network design within a designated change window.
Monitor and optimize network performance to ensure high availability and security.
Enforce and execute user policies and procedures concerning the use of network resources.
Provide on-call support to address network issues promptly.
Be responsible for the communication and enforcement of Designs to Key Project Stakeholders.
Proactively manage and maintain the UK RAS solution.
Manage involvement of other SMEs (e.g. business analysts, IT / Cybersecurity experts) and make sure their design contributions meet system architecture functional and non-functional requirements
Drive excellence in execution through continuous improvement in their segment or domain (best practices and reference material - reference architectures, reference solutions)
Manage EVM requirements for network equipment at all locations for Power Conversion UK Ltd this includes but not limited to Regulatory and Corporate Domains.
Work proactively with the corporate Network teams and follow corporate standards as far as reasonably possible within the constraints of Regulatory controls
Mentoring and coaching of junior team members
Qualifications / Requirements
Experience of Fortinet FortiGate Firewall management and FortiClient VPN/ZTNA, FortiAuthenticator, FortiToken
Strong expertise in implementing and supporting Cisco network and security technologies in enterprise environments
Expert knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI Model, RADIUS, IPSEC, SSL, IDS/IPS
Cisco CCNP Security/Enterprise Certification
Working knowledge of OT Networks and Lab environments a benefit
Awareness of current trends and developments in information technology.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
A full UK driving license and availability for on-call support one week every six weeks
