We're searching for an experienced Analytics Engineer to help us enhance our data warehouse. You'll primarily work in SQL with dbt (BigQuery) but have the opportunity to work in other programming languages, expanding your skillset and making a significant impact on our data capabilities. We're looking for someone who's eager to learn and grow with us as we leverage multiple technologies to build pipeline solutions.
Responsibilities:
Translate data requirements from across the organisation into robust and reusable data models
Seek out and understand the reasons behind inconsistencies in data
Follow established SDLC standards / processes for rapid and reliable releasing of changes to production
Maintain consistent and clear documentation and definitions across the data warehouse
Work across multiple technologies (e.g. SQL, Java, Terraform)
Collaborate with multiple teams to help meet business goals
Requirements
Excellent SQL skills
Previous experience working with dbt and developing data architecture
Ability to communicate to stakeholders across a range of technical backgrounds
Experience in code management and version control using Git
Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment
Desirable:
Worked with other programming languages such as Java / Python / C
Have developed infrastructure in Terraform
Worked with financial data and / or regulatory reporting
Experience working with AWS and / or GCP tooling
Interview process
Interviewing is a two way process and we want you to have the time and opportunity to get to know us, as much as we are getting to know you! Our interviews are conversational and we want to get the best from you, so come with questions and be curious. In general you can expect the below, following a chat with one of our Talent Team:
Stage 1 - 30 mins with one of the team
Stage 2 - Take home challenge
Stage 3 - 60 mins technical interview with two team members
Stage 3 - 45 min final with an executive and a member of the people team
