The Opportunity

As Railsr grows, we are expanding our Cloud Engineering team. You will have the chance to shape and optimize our cloud infrastructure, ensuring its scalability, security, and efficiency. You will work alongside a squad of Cloud and Security engineers, being key for the Engineering organisation and having the chance to collaborate and learn from the rest of the squads.

The Role and your responsibilities
In this role the key is ownership:
Design and Implement Cloud Infrastructure: Collaborate with cross-functional squads to design, develop, and deploy scalable and secure cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS using Terraform.
Contribute with fresh ideas and constructive feedback to the platform's development and our engineering community.
Solve problems - you unblock yourself and other team members when they hit a roadblock.

Our expectations
You have a proven track record running and scaling services on AWS.
Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and Terraform.
Experience with ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana) for log management, analysis, and monitoring.
Experience in Grafana and Prometheus for monitoring, metrics collection, and visualisation.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines(GitLab pipelines is a plus) and scripting languages (Bash or PowerShell).
Experience running Kubernetes clusters is a plus.
Experience running Apache Kafka clusters is a plus.
Solid understanding of cloud architecture best practices, security principles, and scalability considerations.
Solid understanding of networking concepts, including VPN, DNS, load balancing, and routing.
Our stack

Persistence - AWS DynamoDB, AWS RDS, Datomic.
Data distribution - AWS SNS/SQS, Apache Kafka.
Monitoring & Alerting - ELK, Grafana, Prometheus, PagerDuty.
