Senior Full-Stack Developer – Technical Lead (Cloud Infrastructure)
Location: Exeter (Hybrid: Mon–Thu in office, Fri WFH)
We’re working with a fast-growing, investor-backed technology business that’s entering an exciting phase of expansion. As part of this next chapter, they’re looking for an experienced Senior Full-Stack Developer to take the reins as Technical Lead for their cloud services team.
This is a high-impact leadership role, offering the chance to shape the technical direction of a key division, guide a talented development team, and play a pivotal role in hitting strategic growth milestones.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Lead and mentor a team of six developers, supporting their growth and maintaining high standards of output.
Oversee the design, development, and delivery of scalable, high-quality code.
Conduct code reviews, manage pull requests, and uphold clean coding practices.
Drive architectural decisions and collaborate with internal stakeholders to plan technical roadmaps.
Ensure cloud infrastructure is robust, scalable, and secure.
Tackle complex technical challenges with simple, elegant solutions.
What We’re Looking For:
Advanced experience in full-stack development, particularly with PHP 8.4 and Symfony 7.
Solid experience working with AWS (or similar enterprise cloud platforms).
Strong background in writing testable, scalable, and high-quality code.
Proven ability to reduce complexity and solve problems effectively.
Skilled at leading code reviews and mentoring engineers.
Confident communicator and collaborative team player with a keen eye for detail.
Bonus Points For:
Familiarity with Node.js and backend JavaScript frameworks.
Experience with Vue.js or Angular on the frontend.
In-depth exposure to AWS-specific services.
