Aequus Play lets players compete in skill-based events for real rewards, XP, and bragging rights. The platform is built and launching soon and now, we’re looking for a Full Stack Developer to join us post-launch as we enter the next phase: growth, feature expansion, and real-time optimisation.
This is a rare opportunity to shape the evolution of a live gaming product from day one of public release.

What you'll be doing
Enhance and scale the live platform post-launch
Build and optimise real-time multiplayer features (e.g. chat, lobbies, in-game events)
Collaborate on game integrations, player progression systems, and social features
Drive improvements in platform stability, speed, and user experience
Contribute to technical strategy and product direction as we grow

What You Bring
Strong experience with Next.js, Node.js, and AWS (Lambda, DynamoDB, etc.)
Proven ability to build and refine real-time systems (WebSockets, Firebase, or custom solutions)
Backend expertise: REST APIs, authentication, scalable data handling
Frontend skills to create intuitive, high-performance UIs
A deep passion for gaming, competition, and building community-driven platforms

Bonus Points
Experience working on live or multiplayer platforms
Familiarity with game engine integration
Exposure to anti-cheat systems, payments, or XP/leveling mechanics
Personal gaming projects, mods, or custom server development
