Description
We are looking for you as Data Analytics Engineer (DAE, gn) to join our team at our headquarters in Hasselt, Belgium. The position is available on a full-time basis at the earliest possible starting date.

As a DAE, you will combine your deep knowledge of our process data analytics platform with a general understanding of process industry to functionally support our customers.

As part of the Customer Success team within TrendMiner, the DAE position is a highly customer-facing role, where you will have the chance to interact with industrial process experts from around the world, and across a wide variety of industries (Chemicals, Food & Beverage, Petrochemicals, Oil & Gas, Discrete Manufacturing, …). Our mission is to ensure our customers get a high return on investment from obtaining and using the TrendMiner platform.

Most interactions with our customers will take the form of remote sessions, but occasionally (up to 25% overall) you will need to travel to interact with our users face-to-face. This can range from day trips to international travel. These on-site meetings are planned in consultation with the DAE and respect for work-life balance.

Your Role

Through an affinity with technology and special interest in data analytics, you quickly gain a deep understanding of our platform to serve as an internal and external functional expert.

You will work on data analytics use cases together with our customers. Using your general understanding of process industry, you can efficiently work together with process experts on the customer side to achieve the desired outcome using TrendMiner. During this process, you take special care to transfer part of your TrendMiner knowledge onto the customer, making the more self-sufficient. Furthermore, you bring home the knowledge on high-value use cases, which serve as input for further product improvements or marketing campaigns.

You learn to implement custom solutions on top of TrendMiner using Python for those high value use cases which require a high degree of customization or automation. Here, you excel at translating the customer need into a functional requirement.

You provide introductory trainings to groups of new TrendMiner users, and can train people assigned on the customer side to become TrendMiner trainers within their organization.

Your intimate knowledge of how customers use TrendMiner to achieve value enables you to serve as the voice of the customer within our company, helping direct further product development.

Your Skills

Minimal level of education M.Sc. in relevant Engineering discipline (Chemical Engineering, Process Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Biotechnology, …)

Experience with analytics, preferably in process industry

Experience with Python for scripting and data analytics

Good verbal and written communication skills

Fluent in English

Beneficial: fluent in French, German, or Dutch

Proactive and independent worker
