We are looking for a Solution Architect for one of our customer who has an expertise in:-
15+ years of proven experience in the Software industry
3+ years of proven experience working as a MS Fabric solution architect (end to end)
SQL Server Business Intelligence Development Studio, SSRS, SSIS, SQL Server, Visual Studio, and currently specializing in Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, Microsoft Fabric, and PySpark. on Azure cloud
Creation of architecture and design documents for Fabric -Design will cover all Microsoft Fabric Design areas including Governance, Security, Administration, DevOps, Usability, Performance and scale and Billing and cost management. Workspace and capacity configuration will also be defined as part of the design.
Creation of architecture and design documents for Purview Governance - Non-functional Design for Purview Governance Capacity Deployment
Design Review & Sign-off - design playback, quality assurance, amendments and changes to ensure full alignment with customer requirements.
Must have handled end-to-end architectural responsibilities from solution design, data migration planning, capacity planning, application security, process orchestration, application and data integration etc.
Architecting mission critical and high performing systems
Ability to review code
Creation of Fabric Landing Zone Infrastructure as Code - Fabric Landing Zone templates to be created with Terraform.
Creation of Purview Governance Infrastructure as Code - Purview Governance Landing Zone templates to be created with Terraform.
Fabric Tenant Settings Configuration - Tenant setting configuration to be built out and configured via the API where possible.
Workspace Templates - Creation of Terraform templates for templated Workspace provision, including defined Fabric Items and an Extract Transform Load Framework.
Internal QA & Testing

It would be hybrid working in Edinburgh, UK.

The project supported by a dedicated network of colleges, work-based learning providers and employer-led organisations, focuses on enabling greater participation in Skills Competitions by widening the knowledge and expertise across the education and training sector. As the contract holder, the college has appointed a dedicated delivery team led by a Project Director. The Project Director is a key individual who leads a geographically dispersed team responsible for delivering the outcomes of the project. As the contract holder, the college wishes to appoint a Project Manager to support and assist the Project Director with the day-to-day delivery of the project. The successful candidate will be a well organised individual with excellent administrative skills and experience of working and communicating with numerous partners and stakeholders. The core to this role is to operationally manage the general running of the Project. The post holder will also be required to support the promotion of the project by writing and producing communications and publications information such as draft press releases, newsletters, website information, and reports. Working closely with the communications teams from key partners to amplify each other’s efforts to support the aims and objectives of the project. The post-holder will be required to occasionally work evenings and weekends, and may on occasion also be required to travel both in the UK and abroad. Responsibilities: Accountable for the delivery of customer engine build and test requirements Pre-rigging engines into modified gensets in preparation for test cell installation Instrumentation to engineering’s request including some fabrication work for boost, coolant and fuelling systems Data measurement, collection, provision of results, use of computerised test bed controls and data acquisition Assume ownership of test bed data quality, assist engineers in test methodology and interpretation of results Requirements: City Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in an automotive mechanical subject Equivalent qualifications accepted (IMechE accreditation) or higher (HNC/HND/B.Eng.) A demonstrated knowledge of working on diesel or gas engine test programs. 3 years’ experience minimum is highly desirable. Mechanical/electrical experience on diesel engines, stripping & rebuilding, along with a good automotive or off-highway mechanical background desirable.
