Job Title - ICURe Operations and Impact Analyst
Contract - Fixed term until 27th March 2026
Hours - Full time (37.5 hours per week)
Location - Home based (UK)
Salary - £35,926 - £42,000

Purpose of the Role

The ICURe Operations & Impact Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of the Innovate UK ICURe (Innovation to Commercialisation of University Research) Programme. This includes overseeing operational aspects, managing competition processes, liaising with key stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with policies and governance frameworks. The role also involves impact measurement (across the ICURe delivery partners as well as the ICURe programmes), data tracking, and budget management to enhance programme efficiency. The Analyst will focus on assessing, measuring, and reporting on the programme’s effectiveness, ensuring that strategic goals are met through data-driven insights.

Key Accountabilities:

Oversee all aspects of competition management, within Innovate UK and via our Delivery Partners.
Analyse and interpret data to assess the effectiveness of ICURe initiatives.
Provide reports, dashboards, and presentations on impact findings to stakeholders (both internal and external
Work closely with subsidy, quality assurance, impact, and competition management teams to embed Innovate UK policies.
Supporting Monitoring Officers (MSPs) through the post award project lifecycle
Ensure financial oversight by working with Innovate UK Finance Partners to manage ICURe budgets.
Schedule and facilitate monthly operations meetings.
Implementation of impact measurement frameworks for programme evaluation.
Identify trends and make recommendations for programme improvements.

Roles & Responsibilities

Support the operational delivery of the ICURe Programme in alignment with strategic objectives.
Develop and maintain data tracking mechanisms to measure programme impact and effectiveness.
Support the Head of Hubs in reviewing and managing hub-related projects.
Respond to queries, manage communications, and facilitate stakeholder engagement.
Develop and implement impact measurement frameworks.
Collect, analyse, and interpret data to assess programme success.
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and other impact metrics.
Work with stakeholders to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
Produce reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate findings.
Identify trends and provide recommendations for optimising impact.
Oversee pre-award and post-award processes, ensuring compliance with Innovate UK requirements.
Support the development of competition briefs, manage applications, and coordinate assessment panels.
Engage with internal and external stakeholders to streamline programme operations.
Provide financial oversight and ensure budget alignment with strategic priorities.
Ensure compliance with internal policies and external reporting requirements.

Qualifications

Degree level or demonstrable equivalent experience in a relevant field.
Project Management qualification (e.g., APM, Prince2) desirable.

Experience

Proven experience managing projects or programmes with strict deadlines.
Experience handling financial planning and budget oversight.
Strong stakeholder engagement skills, particularly in innovation and research environments.
Experience working in remote and cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of public funding programmes and the UK research ecosystem is an advantage.
Experience in data collection, impact assessment, and performance measurement.

Experience in data analysis, KPI tracking, and impact measurement.
Proficiency in developing impact reports and recommendations for strategic decision-making.

Desirable

High proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
Experience of CRM systems such as Salesforce
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Familiarity with impact evaluation methodologies.
Experience using data visualisation tools like Power BI or Tableau.
