Engineering Project Manager – Infrastructure
Location: Oxford (Hybrid)
Contract: 6 Months | Full-Time | Monday to Friday
Salary: £50-£60 ph - | Mileage reimbursed from base
We are urgently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Engineering Project Manager to lead infrastructure projects in the Oxford area. This is a full-time role with hybrid working options. A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential, as occasional site visits will be required (mileage reimbursed).
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the delivery of large, complex transport infrastructure projects
Manage multi-disciplinary project teams, either directly or through matrix management
Oversee the use of NEC4 contracts and procurement frameworks
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to budget
Engage proactively with stakeholders, contractors, and suppliers
Essential Requirements:
Substantial experience in infrastructure project management (new transport infrastructure preferred)
Demonstrated experience leading complex engineering projects
Chartered status or equivalent (e.g., CEng or PMP)
Evidence of continued professional development
Strong leadership and communication skills
Experience working within NEC4 contracts and public procurement frameworks
Desirable:
Background in new build transport infrastructure (not just highways maintenance)
Familiarity with local authority or public sector project environments
