We're searching for a seriously talented Software Engineer to join our incredible Software department within our “Grid” team. You’ll be joining an established department with a mix of engineering backgrounds, and a friendly team of experienced engineers keen to spearhead your career development.

You’ll Be Responsible For

Continuously collaborating with your agile squad via pair programming, peer code reviews, helping QA with testing, or story writing & defining tech specs with project managers and product owners.
Developing and supporting software products in line with product and architecture roadmaps.
Demonstrating strong, sustainable and collaborative software development practices that are focused on delivering high quality, readable, maintainable and appropriate code and other artefacts.
Actively participating in team and community events.
Ensuring the high quality of delivered solutions through the development and maintenance of unit and integration tests and associated pipelines.
Collaborating with your line manager to identify opportunities and areas of growth.

Electrify Us With Your Skills

We think the role would be great for somebody who is:

Proficient at writing Typescript applications deployed on Node.js runtime
Good experience of unit, integration and functional testing
Good experience within the AWS ecosystem including, ECS, RDS, Lambda, SQS and Streaming services
Familiarity with Terraform and/or other IaaS models
Good understanding of OOP principles, design patterns, API design and event-driven architecture
Strong experience in modern development practices, such as agile, lean and continuous delivery
