Your Way to Impact

PayPal Ads is looking for an experienced advertising technology leader with a track record of building and scaling ad technology organizations. You will help create and drive the ads technology strategy, infrastructure, and architecture for the PayPal Ads organization and ensure that teams and individuals work towards the shared strategy of the Ads business. You'll assist in leading the development, implementation, and execution of PayPal Ads' technology strategy based on a deep domain experience and understanding of the ads industry. You will work closely with cross-functional partners, including sales, operations, finance, product, engineering, and marketing ensuring we are building impactful ad products built to scale, that will generate impact and enhance our value proposition. We seek a high-performing team leader who drives results rapidly while delivering profitable growth for the PayPal Ads business. In this role, you have the opportunity to significantly extend PayPal’s value proposition to our three-sided network while being instrumental in developing our new advertising business for the company. This role will be part of the Consumer Engineering Leadership team reporting into the VP Consumer Platforms & Ads.

Your Day-to-Day

Aid in the development and growth of PayPal Ads engineering and technology strategy.
Develop and grow PayPal Ads engineering and technology strategy: Contribute to shaping the strategic direction and ensure alignment with business goals.
Lead technical initiatives: Drive the design, development, implementation, and deployment of ad technologies and solutions.
Integrate ad technologies into PayPal applications: Ensure seamless integration within PayPal's ecosystem.
Promote continuous improvement: Foster a culture of accountability and cohesion within the PayPal Ads technology team.


What Do You Need To Bring
Degree in Computer Science, or a related technical field. Advanced degree preferred.
15+ years of experience in engineering, building platforms at scale.
Deep understanding of the advertiser, agencies, and advertiser branding and performance needs.
Excellent analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex technology concepts effectively.
Ability to navigate altitudes (shifting between strategic and tactical).
Ability to synthesize complex information into the essential points to inform executive decision-making.
Outstanding communication and influencing skills.
Results-oriented, analytical, self-motivated, and a “hands-on” leader with a proven ability to meet objectives/targets, develop and scale a team, and cultivate superb relationships with cross-functional teams.
Experience and appreciation for cultural nuances when working internationally.
Executive presentation skills; including in-person, written, and verbal.
