We have a fantastic opportunity for an IT Support Manager in our Siemens Healthineers Magnet Technology business. We are a world leader in the design and manufacture of superconducting magnets for MRI scanners.
It is an exciting time for us, our brand-new additional facility in Bicester will be open in 2026. In this role, you will be leading a team of six supporting circa 650 users which will increase when the new facility opens.
Apply now for the position of IT Support Manager, and you will lead our IT support team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality technical support and services. This role requires strong project management skills, as well as expertise in ITIL frameworks to optimise IT service management processes. The IT Support Manager will oversee IT support operations, manage projects, drive continuous improvement, and ensure excellent customer service.
Your role:
Manage and lead the IT support team, ensuring effective incident resolution and service delivery
Plan, execute, and oversee IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and process improvements
Implement and maintain ITIL processes such as incident, problem, and change management
Lead root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to reduce recurring issues
Ensure IT assets and resources are effectively managed
Act as the primary point of contact between IT support and business stakeholders
Your expertise:
Proven experience as an IT Support Manager or in a similar leadership role, managing a minimum of 300+ users.
Strong project management experience, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Expertise in ITIL frameworks, with an ITIL certification (preferred).
Hands-on experience with IT support systems, ticketing tools, and remote support technologies.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Experience with IT infrastructure, cloud services, and enterprise applications is a plus.
