The Role...

Soho House is seeking a contract Freelance Global Picture Editor to join our London office on a full time basis. This exciting role is integral to supporting our creative, partnerships, and marketing teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You will work alongside the global content team to promote visual content to our members and assist in various projects across all platforms, from print to digital. Collaborating with teams in the UK, Europe, Asia, and North America, as well as other departments worldwide, you will have the opportunity to be part of a company experiencing rapid growth with significant career development potential. We are looking for someone who is quick to learn, organized, and has the ability to handle a diverse and busy workload with a positive attitude.

Main Duties...

Manage and organize the internal archive of Soho House imagery, including those from Soho House, restaurants, Soho Works, Soho Home, and Retail.
Lay out editorial content pages.
Oversee and source imagery for sohohouse.com, ensuring it meets technical standards and aligns with the brand's visual style.
Source still imagery for content as needed, whether internally or through research.
Create picture-led content.
Support digital communications with imagery for email newsletters.
Assist the social media team with imagery needs.
Provide advice to the events team on promotional imagery for events.
Work with the partnerships team to source imagery for member benefits.
Manage contracts and rates with external image libraries.
Support global teams with internal imagery requests.
Crop and upload images to the content management system (CMS).

What We Are Looking For...

At least 3 years of experience working on picture desks.
A strong eye for selecting compelling imagery.
Proven experience in creative and editorial picture research.
Familiarity with picture agencies and other image sources.
Knowledge of copyright laws and image rights management is essential.
Experience with content management systems and alternative image text.
Experience in digital image archiving is a must.
A keen interest in digital publishing developments and innovative ways to engage target audiences visually is a plus.
Demonstrated proficiency in Photoshop, including basic retouching and resizing for web use.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a heavy, diverse workload in a fast-paced setting.
A personal interest in Soho House, cultural trends, design, interiors, food, and drink is highly desirable.
Photographic skills with a camera are a plus, but not required.
