JOB PROFILE
We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic individual to join our team as an Operations Manager. This role presents an exciting opportunity to lead and optimize operations within the crane and earthmoving industry. Based in Saudi Arabia (KSA), the Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily activities, ensuring operational excellence, and driving efficiency across the company’s crane and earthmoving rental services.
Key Responsibilities
Operational leadership:
Manage and oversee day-to-day operations, including equipment and manpower scheduling, logistics, project administration and invoicing, and safety compliance.
Develop and implement efficient workflows for operational and administrative processes.
Ensure proper coordination between internal teams such as commercial, workshop, logistics, engineering and operations.
Fleet management:
Monitor the utilization and performance of the crane and earthmoving fleet to maximize profitability.
Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure all cranes and earthmoving equipment are well-maintained and compliant with safety and operational standards.
Project start-up and financial oversight:
Lead the initiation of projects on-site, ensuring all resources are in place for smooth execution.
Ensure accurate financial follow-up for each project, including cost control and associated administration.
Client and stakeholder management:
Act as an Aertssen ambassador to customers, suppliers, and other external parties, as well as to Aertssen staff.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring excellent customer service and timely delivery of services.
Resolve client complaints, operational issues, and logistical challenges efficiently and professionally.
Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and ensure alignment with operational capabilities.
Health, safety and compliance:
Work closely together with the QHSE department to ensure strict adherence to safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to minimize operational risks.
Performance and reporting:
Analyze operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
Prepare and present performance reports to senior management, highlighting key metrics and progress toward goals.
Develop and implement strategies to optimize costs and improve profitability.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree holder of Operations Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in operations management within the heavy machinery such cranes and earthmoving.
Proven experience with heavy equipment including fleet management and logistics.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
A commitment to continuous improvement and operational optimization.
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making abilities.
Proficiency in operational software, fleet management tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong communication skills both internally and with customers; proficiency in Dutch is an advantage.
