This would suit someone currently with their own portfolio of work and looking for a new opportunity to run alongside their current projects on a freelance basis.
Role Summary
A Project Management Consultant at Coron Projects isn’t just someone who can manage a project - They are a trusted partner to senior leadership teams. They work closely with, Managing Directors, Operations Directors and Project Directors, helping them navigate complexity without adding unnecessary layers of process. They must be able to think commercially, act decisively, whilst staying adaptable, and communicate with absolute clarity. They understand and deliver the Coron Project Management Framework and implement this to shape outcomes that impact businesses and people.

Highly competent at managing a selection of their own clients and projects, whilst meeting deadlines with a client centric approach
Ability to demystify complex challenges when communicating with client teams
Strategic mindset and executional discipline - understands the bigger picture while ensuring on-the-ground delivery.
Aptitude for thinking creatively and critically the sharing those ideas with clients and team members
Scheduling and Planning: Ensure the project adheres to its outlined schedule, managing both the broader timeline and specific milestones.
Budget Management: Develop and oversee project budgets, ensuring all activities remain within financial parameters.
Team Coordination and Communication: Lead project teams towards achieving milestones, facilitate effective communication among team members, and conduct regular project status meetings.
Resource Allocation: Manage the allocation of resources across project tasks to meet project demands effectively.
Provide overall strategic project management counsel to key clients.
Regular catch ups with the internal consultancy team at Coron to stay up to date with client developments and projects
Gains the trust of senior clients and demonstrates expert client management to build great relationships
Demonstrates a level of ease with delivering presentations, leading meetings and training workshops
Responsible for upholding standards and ensuring quality work to meet/exceed client expectations i.e. overseeing quality and standard of project work
Demonstrates commitment to industry, agency and clients by mastering industry knowledge and trends and understanding clients' business needs.
Working with the director and team of Project Management Consultants to ensure a high level of client delivery across the business.
Communicates in a way that inspires confidence and influences client teams to take action towards shared goals or to make change
Deputises for the director during times of holiday or periods of absence (if required)
Project Administration
Planning the schedule and delivery days in advance, then communicating to the client and to the internal team
Generate detailed project reports, provide support across project management functions, and ensure resource availability.
Time sheets for project delivery and expenses are submitted on time and alongside the client agreements
Ensures the internal and external branding of Coron is at the standard set by the leadership team
Maintains certifications and licenses required to work within the engineering industry
People
Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain robust communication with all project stakeholders, ensuring expectations are managed and project updates are communicated clearly
Establishes strong relationships with team members and key clients, keeping their pulse on what is happening within the business and what is relevant for clients
Embraces cultural values and actively participates with team activities and strategy sessions
Sales & Marketing
Attends networking and industry events to build connections and stay up to date with recent industry development
Alongside the director, actively participates in new business development, presentations and proposals, identifying new prospects, and represents the consultancy in new business meetings
Participates in business development by identifying opportunities with existing clients for Coron to provide more value or support in other areas
Skills & Qualifications:
Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or Controls) preferred.
Experience:
At least 5 years of project management or coordination experience within engineering or energy sectors.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office 365 applications; familiarity with Microsoft Power Applications (PowerApps, Power Automate, and Power BI) highly desirable.
Excellent client management and project management skills
High-level understanding of project management practices

Location: Swansea, with travel to client sites across South Wales and the UK
