Every hire is critical to our success, so we’re looking for exceptional talent to join us on this transformative journey.

About the Role
We’re seeking an AI Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced, high-impact environment. You’ll play a pivotal role in enhancing our AI Co-Pilot, developing and optimizing machine learning models for speech recognition, natural language processing (NLP), and structured data extraction. Your work will directly shape the intelligence behind our platform, ensuring seamless, real-time medical note generation.
This isn’t just about building models — you’ll own your work end-to-end. From prototyping and training to deployment and optimization, you’ll be responsible for delivering AI-driven solutions that power real-world healthcare workflows.

What You'll Do
Leverage & Optimize AI Models: Leverage, fine-tune and deploy machine learning models for speech recognition, NLP, and structured data extraction.
Enhance Real-Time AI Systems: Improve accuracy, speed, and efficiency of our AI Co-Pilot’s voice and text processing capabilities.
Deploy AI in Production: Work closely with the engineering team to integrate models into a scalable, production-ready environment (AWS).
Own AI Features End-to-End: From experimentation to production deployment, you’ll take full responsibility for delivering impactful AI-powered functionality.
Collaborate with Leadership: Work directly with our co-founder and CTO to align AI development with business goals and product needs.

What We're Looking For
Proficiency in Machine Learning & NLP: Strong experience in deep learning frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow, and NLP (prompting) techniques.
Strong Python Skills: Expertise in Python and relevant ML/NLP libraries.
Experience Deploying AI in Production: Familiarity with MLOps, model serving, and cloud infrastructure (preferably AWS).
Language Requirements: Proficiency in Dutch and English is essential.
Problem-Solving & Ownership: Ability to tackle complex challenges, iterate fast, and take full responsibility for solutions.

Why Join Us
Compensation: We offer a top-of-market salary and benefits to recognize and reward exceptional talent.
Impact: Your work will directly contribute to reducing administrative burdens in healthcare, making a tangible difference in the lives of doctors and patients.
Growth Opportunities: We’re hiring for our future senior management and C-suite executives. This is your chance to grow alongside the company and define its future.
Fast-Paced Environment: If you thrive under pressure and love the challenge of building something meaningful at speed, you’ll fit right in.
Autonomy and Responsibility: We trust our team to deliver results, giving you the freedom and responsibility to excel.

Our Hiring Process
We believe in keeping things simple and efficient to find the right talent quickly. Here’s what to expect:
Application Review
We’ll assess your skills and experience to see if there’s a strong match.
Introductory Call
A 30-minute conversation with our co-founder or CTO to learn about your background, discuss the role, and align expectations.
Technical Challenge
A practical coding assignment, designed to be completed in less than 3 hours for successful applicants, to evaluate your proficiency in our stack and problem-solving skills.
Final Interview
A deep-dive session to review your technical challenge, discuss your approach, and evaluate your alignment with our values of ownership and adaptability.
Reference Calls
Brief calls with previous managers or colleagues to understand your work style, strengths, and collaboration skills.
Offer
If we’re aligned, you’ll receive a competitive offer within 2 weeks of starting the process.

Are You Our 10x Developer?
We’re not looking for ordinary developers — we want A-players who are ready to go the extra mile and deliver exceptional results. If you’re ambitious, adaptable, and excited about taking on a role where you’ll be empowered to ship product fast and own it end-to-end, we want to hear from you.
Send us your resume at careers@cavell.ai!
