Description
OVERALL PURPOSE
This role reports to the Global Head of Equity Management, supports him within the Equity Management team and doing equity research. This role will require close and regular interaction with the wider Equity Management team. External interaction with custodians, companies Stonehage Fleming invest in (investor relations, senior management), potential service providers and Third-Party Brokers/Analysts.
Key Responsibilities
PRINCIPAL ELEMENTS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Undertake equity research projects by means of written in-depth, high quality company and industry research reports
Responsible for the research and recommendations of a smaller number of core universe companies
Assist the Global Head of Equity Management with macro-research data and other equity management research projects and tasks
Compiling consolidated portfolio data and maintain the fund fact sheet
Attend, participate and minute investment research meetings
Adhering to Investment Management and Group Compliance policies and procedures, undertaking appropriate regulatory training and dealing with potential breaches of compliance policies without delay
Assisting the Equity Management team with the running and maintenance of key data series, of ad-hoc tasks and marketing material as may be necessary
Write other ad-hoc research reports
Qualifications And Experience
Educated to degree level – preferably in a mathematical, business or science related discipline
CFA qualification a high preference
At least four years of previous experience of conducting in-depth analytic research
Good understanding and interpretation of company financials
