Our client, a global branding, marketing, and communications agency, is looking for an ambitious and collaborative web developer to join their digital team. The successful candidate will work closely with specialists across various disciplines - including design, SEO, paid media, and strategy - and contribute to a dynamic website development group.

Role:
Build, maintain, and enhance responsive WordPress websites using block-based editing, custom hybrid themes, and Full Site Editing (FSE)
Collaborate with designers and internal teams to transform creative concepts into high-quality, engaging digital experiences
Diagnose and resolve website issues, focusing on code debugging and performance optimisation
Integrate third-party APIs and services, including CRM platforms such as Salesforce and HubSpot
Leverage in-depth knowledge of the Gutenberg editor to ensure an intuitive and consistent content editing experience
Apply best practices for SEO and web accessibility across all website builds
Manage version control effectively using GitHub
Take ownership of time management and workload, consistently delivering projects on schedule
Keep up with the latest industry trends and technologies, proactively applying new innovations to client solutions
Work closely with senior developers and cross-functional teams to maintain seamless workflows and deliver high-quality outcomes

Requirements:
Proven experience in WordPress development, with strong proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL
Skilled in developing and customising WordPress themes, Gutenberg blocks, and Full Site Editing (FSE), with a solid understanding of custom post types, taxonomies, and the overall WordPress architecture
Hands-on experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, and familiarity with others like Next.js or Vue.js; comfortable working with headless CMS platforms including Sanity, Netlify, and headless WordPress
Experience with data warehousing and large-scale e-commerce sites, as well as integrating third-party tools like cookie management platforms and CRMs such as Salesforce and HubSpot
Proficient in using Tailwind and SASS for modern frontend styling, with effective version control practices using GitHub
Strong problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage workload independently while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced agency environment
Clear communicator and collaborative team player, with previous experience working in creative or digital agencies and an active interest in emerging technologies, including AI integration
