Firewall Audit Engineer - 6 months - Hybrid (Slough) - Inside IR35
Hamilton Barnes is looking for an experienced Firewall Audit Engineer to join a global organisation for an initial 6-month contract, with potential for extension. You will be responsible for performing Firewall rule audits, following best practices, and ensuring security and compliance within a large-scale environment.
This hybrid role requires four days per week working in the Slough office, providing flexibility while enabling collaboration with key stakeholders. The role has been signed off inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
Follow the Firewall Audit (Rule Tidy) process to ensure optimal Firewall rule management.
Investigate and remove any unused Firewall rules older than 12 months from the Firewall estate across both fO2 and FVM environments.
Utilize Tufin Servers (SecureTrack/SecureChange) to perform rule management on both sides.
Ensure compliance with security and operational standards throughout the auditing process.
What You Will Ideally Bring:
Proficiency with Check Point, Fortinet, and Juniper SRX.
Proven experience in Firewall rule audits and network security best practices.
Familiarity with change control processes and ticketing systems such as Helix and/or Remedy.
Hands-on experience with Tufin, particularly SecureChange and SecureTrack.
