Our Digital Engineering team at Storyteq are responsible for building world class, enterprise grade digital applications for high profile brands. Joining the Digital Engineering function would see you work as part of a cross-functional, product style team, generally consisting of a Business Analyst, Scrum Master / Project Manager, Solution Architect, Lead Developers (FE and BE), Developers, and Testers (Manual and Automated).
We have an excellent opportunity for an entry level Data Administrator to join our growing team of Data Modellers. This role is responsible for managing the data that sits behind complex web applications.
Our team maintain data model spreadsheets that have been set up for our enterprise grade web-based solution in over 20 countries. The data models are regularly updated in line with the production updates. These changes can affect the product availability together with the options (along with any associated rules for these) that are available for each product range within a country. Additionally, the team are responsible for maintaining pricing within the data models.
Ultimately, we're looking for highly motivated, focussed, and hardworking individuals who'll thrive in a fast-moving work environment. Someone who wants to be part of a team, with a desire to do well.
We are also considering school leavers from 6th form or college ready to carve out a fulfilling career in Data Modelling. Work experience whether it be part of your studies or part time is essential to be able to progress in this role.
Responsibilities:
Liaising with third party agencies on data requests
Setting up new data models
Amending existing data models with new content
Communicating with senior members of the team on data modelling issues
Checking and amending data discrepancies
Solving issues for clients and third-party agencies
Full training will be provided for successful candidates
Requirements
Excellent working knowledge of Excel (which is used for the data modelling)
IT literate, ability to pick up new software intuitively
Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
Ability to assess large sets of information, solve problems and provide feedback
Good attention to detail / high degree of accuracy
Logical approach and good analytical skills
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
