Job Description
What you’ll be doing:
Providing technical leadership on complex client projects
Leading technical teams to deliver projects on time and on budget
Defining technical architectures and solutions
Working with business users to define requirements for new application functionality
Developing, testing, supporting and maintaining all code for client applications
Analysing data and creating reports for clients, incorporating all findings
Qualifications
Experience and skills required:
5+ years kdb+ development experience
Experience of defining and implementing kdb+ architectures
Proven delivery of technical solutions to appropriate standards and methodologies
In-depth knowledge of creating and maintaining kdb+ solutions
Experience delivering technical solutions in unix/linux environment
Demonstratable technical leadership and decision making
Experience communicating and liaising with key stakeholders
Excellent communication skills and capable of tailoring to the audience
Desire to improve technically and maintain up to date with the latest advances
Experience of working and delivering solutions in Capital Markets/Investment Banking
Cloud architecture and development experience is a plus but not essential
Minimum 2:1 Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science or any other scientific/engineering discipline
Experience and skills desired*:

Experience of other programming languages e.g. Python
Cloud development and architecture experience
Experience of other data solutions, specifically Time Series Experience in an investment bank or large financial organisation
