Join us as a Salesforce Developer (1 year Fixed Term Contract)

This role is Hybrid with one to two team visits monthly to our Welwyn Garden City office.

As a Salesforce Developer you will be hands on working with Delivery Managers to develop innovative cloud based applications that will unlock new efficiencies within the business, and create momentum for their continued growth.
You will evangelise Salesforce within the company, and work with the Business stakeholders and Delivery Team to ensure requirements are delivered in a timely and efficient manner using agile principles.

What will you be doing?
• Maintain responsibility for the design, development, unit, and integration testing of all new and existing code
• Develop and apply advanced Salesforce functionality to solve business problems and create customised solutions on the Force.com platform
• Actively seek out opportunities to leverage Salesforce, driving productivity gains for a Sales & Support team
• Understand Salesforce.com data model and how and when to create custom objects, junction objects, and other model items.
• Maximize the value from Salesforce and make decision on in-built vs custom build solutions
• Continuously expand Salesforce knowledge and leverage new capabilities and features to meet business needs

About You
Good knowledge around Salesforce Development and configuration experience coupled with Solid understanding of Agile methodologies. You will have good integration experience - particularly with Contact centre/financial/billing tools.
You are inspired by excellence, forward thinking and willing to collaborate.
Be the Promoter of industry best practices and framework, and use your analytical mind with great attention to detail, but most of all, we would like you to be open to new ideas and feedback, with a realistic view of your strengths and weaknesses.

Technical skills and competences
• Knowledge and experience with Salesforce.com platform.
• Practical experience with Apex (triggers, batches, integrations, best practices, …)
• Understanding of Object Oriented Programming, SOLID principles and coding standards
• Good understanding of declarative tools like Process Builder and Lightning Flows including when to use them and their limitations
• Knowledge of Lightning framework including Aura components, HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Experiences with Sales and Service clouds

Nice to have
• Salesforce Admin experience
• Salesforce Lightning exposure
• Experience with Pardot
• Experience with CPQ
• Good knowledge and experience with deployment process in Salesforce (sandboxes, ANT tool, GIT, data loader, manual steps)

If for some reason the user is not available, then move to the next and check back on them later to see if they are available for refresh and if not then advise back on the form as user not available. If the user is struggling to start the Auto-Pilot then the engineer can assist. Depending on the site bandwidth and number of devices reimaging the builds can take from 1.5/2hrs or longer to update. When the engineers have completed the distribution of devices on the list, they should re-visit each user just to check on the progress and that all is well, or intervention is required. Engineer takes all removed old devices to the Storeroom area and stacks the devices in an area designated by the customer for decommissioning and coordinate with disposal vendor Engineer end of day sends the pre-agreed closure sheet with the status. It is possible that some devices done later in the day are still installing when the users and engineers have left and will need a first morning check to ensure completion. There is a 5-day Hypercare period where the partner project engineer is expected to reattend calls for refresh if an issue arises in this time.
