Salary: £35,000 - £40,000
Location: Southampton (hybrid - min 3 days in the office)
We’re seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join our team in Operations, where you’ll be working closely with other analysts, and key client facing and back-office stakeholders to support our data strategies and initiatives.
As a Data Analyst you will be transforming raw, unstructured and semi-structured data into actionable insights. Your skills will help influence data-driven decisions across the organisation, driving growth and efficiency, whilst helping to identify opportunities and risks. Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will support the organisation with its data and reporting activities across multiple functions.
You will act as a data steward, focusing on the accuracy and integrity of our data, whilst supporting the organisation with upholding strong data governance, compliance and security.
Data Analyst, the role:
Being a subject matter expert with our data across the organisation.
Presenting your findings with clear and concise narratives, tailoring your communication to appropriate audiences.
Working closely with Financial and Operational functions to support them with data-driven activities including complex transformations and mappings.
Be extracting, transforming, preparing data for consumption by a range of audiences using tools like Excel, Power Query, Power BI or SQL.
Managing and improving existing data processes, in addition to identifying opportunities to develop new ones.
Support the development of data governance initiatives and best practices throughout the organisation.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation.
Data Analyst, the person:
Essential skills
4+ years proven experience as a Data Analyst, BI Analyst, Finance Analyst or in a similar role.
Experience working with complex datasets from CRM environments such as D365 CE/CRM , Salesforce, Zoho or similar products.
Experience working with data from ERP environments such as SAP, NetSuite, D365 BC or similar products.
Advanced skills with Excel & Power Query and strong proficiency with writing and optimising SQL queries to execute data extraction and transformation.
Functional understanding of data relationships and models, and the impact on operational processes and service delivery.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Non-Essential skills
A degree Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field would be a plus.
Experience with building and maintaining dashboards within Power BI, Tableau or similar applications is also desirable.
A broad understanding of data warehousing, cloud storage and data architectures.
