Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Solution Architect to lead the design and development of robust, scalable, and innovative technical solutions. This role is pivotal to our organization as it requires working closely with stakeholders, engineering teams, and other business units to understand business challenges and craft technical architectures that deliver value and meet both current and future business needs. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in solution architecture, a deep understanding of modern technology frameworks, and the ability to influence technical direction at an organizational level.
Objectives of the Role:
- Lead the architectural design for large-scale projects and ensure alignment with organizational strategy.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to identify and address business and technical requirements.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
- Enhance organizational efficiency and scalability through optimized IT solutions.
- Mentor junior architects and team members, sharing best practices and knowledge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop high-level architectural designs and ensure they align with business goals.
- Engage with stakeholders to clarify objectives, technical requirements, and business constraints.
- Analyze current systems, identify improvement areas, and propose effective solutions.
- Oversee technical development processes, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of system architecture and design.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams and junior architects.
- Manage and mitigate risks associated with technology choices and implementation.
Skills and Qualifications:
- 12+ years of experience in solution architecture, with demonstrated experience in architecting large-scale, enterprise-level solutions.
- Proficiency in cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and cloud-native architectures.
- Deep understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, DevOps) and best practices.
- Strong knowledge of databases, data warehousing, and system integrations.
- Familiarity with security, compliance, and privacy considerations in solution design.
- Proven track record of delivering solutions that drive operational efficiency and meet business needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Certifications in cloud platforms, solution architecture, or enterprise architecture (eg, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, TOGAF).
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Expertise in emerging technologies, such as microservices architecture, machine learning, or data analytics.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
