About this role
We're a successful, multi-award winning AWS Partner, with our own AI solutions over AWS, a UK HQ and an international client base.
The Cloud Engineer role sits within the Cloud Delivery team, and focuses on use-case and client-centered design, implementation, and migration of cloud solutions.
This role is based in the Bexprt HQ at Winnersh Triangle.
Only candidates who already have the right to live and work in the UK will be considered, no exceptions.

Key responsibilities
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripts using tools such as AWS CloudFormation – CDK currently used- or terraform to automate the provisioning and management of AWS resources.
Automation of Deployment Processes: Implement and optimize continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for applications and infrastructure on AWS, along with customer DevOps team.
Configuration Management: Manage and automate configuration settings for various AWS services, ensuring standardization and efficiency.
Monitoring and Logging Automation: Implement automated solutions for monitoring, alerting, and logging using AWS services such as CloudWatch and AWS Config.
Security Automation: Integrate security best practices into automation processes, including automated security checks and compliance scans.
Scaling and Optimization: Develop automated solutions for scaling resources based on demand and optimizing resource utilization on AWS.
Scripting and Programming: Write scripts and code (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) to automate routine tasks and processes.
Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for automation processes, configurations, and workflows.
Proficiency in using AWS services relevant to automation, such as AWS Lambda, AWS Systems Manager, AWS CloudWatch, AWS Step Functions, etc. Knowledge of AWS Elastic Disaster Recovery (DRS) is a huge plus as it’s in the core of current automation.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools like AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, or GitLab CI for automating application deployments.
Strong scripting and programming skills in languages like Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar.
Knowledge of configuration management tools like AWS Systems Manager, Ansible, or Puppet.
Understanding of security best practices and the ability to integrate security into automation workflows.
Regular reporting to management for current activities and projects status.
Manage the relationship with the customer and all stakeholders.

Qualifications and skills
Experience working on AWS environments automation for 3+ years.
Ability to troubleshoot and debug automation scripts and processes.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
Experience with international customer is highly desired.
AWS certifications related to automation and infrastructure (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer).
MUST already have the right to live and work in the UK (no sponsorship).
