Role Summary

We are looking for a Mobile App UX/UI Designer(Contract role for 6 months) to lead the design and user experience of our upcoming marketplace app. You will work closely with product managers, developers, and researchers to ensure the app delivers a seamless, user-friendly experience. Your focus will be on mobile-first design, usability, and a clean UI that enhances engagement and conversion.

Job Responsibilities

Design user-centered experiences for the marketplace mobile app, from concept to high-fidelity UI.
Develop wireframes, interactive prototypes, and user flows to illustrate design ideas.
Ensure designs are mobile-first and optimized for iOS and Android platforms.
Collaborate with user research teams to gather insights and refine designs based on feedback.
Work within and contribute to Once For All’s design system, ensuring consistency across products.
Partner with developers to ensure smooth handoff and implementation of designs.
Advocate for accessibility and best UX/UI practices in mobile design.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience And Qualifications

5+ years of UX/UI design experience, with a focus on mobile apps.
Strong portfolio showcasing marketplace, SaaS, or B2B mobile product designs.
Proficiency in Figma, including components, variables, tokens, and prototyping.
Experience in mobile-first and responsive design, following iOS and Android UI guidelines.
Knowledge of user testing, feedback loops, and data-driven design decisions.
Familiarity with design handoff tools and collaboration with developers.
Strong communication skills and ability to present design rationale effectively.

Nice To Have

Experience designing for B2B marketplaces or procurement platforms.
Understanding of motion design and micro-interactions for app engagement.
Familiarity with construction industry software or compliance-related platforms.
Knowledge of front-end development principles (HTML, CSS, React Native) for better collaboration.

This is a hands-on position that plays a key role in maintaining our commitment to quality and continuous improvement across all stages of production. Key Responsibilities Review and verify material certification documents to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and applicable standards (including AS9100 and ISO 9001). Prepare and review ISIR (Initial Sample Inspection Reports) and FAIR (First Article Inspection Reports) in accordance with customer and industry requirements. Accurately document inspection findings, including certificate conformity, observations, and any discrepancies. Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and material standards to validate documentation. Offline program and operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to carry out dimensional inspections of components. Use a range of additional inspection tools and equipment, such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges. Report non-conformances promptly and collaborate with relevant departments to address quality issues. Maintain accurate and traceable inspection records in accordance with AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality management system requirements. Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying trends and areas for enhancement in documentation control. Participate in audits, internal reviews, and relevant training to uphold and improve inspection standards. Day-to-day Of The Role Begin each day by reviewing upcoming jobs and prioritising inspections based on production schedules and customer deadlines. Cross-check material certification documents against engineering drawings and specification requirements. Offline program and run CMM inspections, ensuring accurate measurement of critical dimensions. Carry out manual inspections using handheld tools where applicable, verifying tolerances and surface finishes. Prepare and update FAIRs and ISIRs for new product introductions or customer submissions. Record all inspection findings in the quality management system and flag any deviations or non-conformances. Communicate with all departments and quality teams to resolve issues and support root cause investigations. Participate in daily quality stand-up meetings and contribute to continuous improvement discussions. Essential Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience in a quality inspection role within a manufacturing or engineering environment. Confident communicator, able to liaise effectively across departments. Desirable Formal qualifications in mechanical or manufacturing engineering (e.g., HNC/HND, NVQ, or equivalent). Lean or Six Sigma awareness and involvement in continuous improvement activities.
