Junior to mid level FPGA Design Engineer with competence using Xilinx Vivado, will join a rapidly growing Technology Company, specialists in the manufacture of test equipment for the Aerospace Industry. Fully remote working.

Salary dependent upon experience, with applications welcome from those with a good Bachelors / Masters Degree + relevant Internship, a PhD incorporating FPGA Design or FPGA Designers seeking a new challenge early in their career.

This exciting company seeks a self-starting Degree qualified FPGA Design Engineer who has strong customer focus and is able to bring most of the following skills and knowledge:

FPGA Design and Verification with Xilinx Vivado and VHDL.
Test driven design using FPGA simulation.
Device protocols such as I2C or SPI.
Networking protocols such as Ethernet, TCP/IP or UDP/IP.
Interfacing with microprocessor hardware or firmware.
Some Embedded Software exposure good to see.
Ability to communicate with customers and produce detailed documentation.

In this FPGA Design role, successful applicants will support the company’s previous generation of products based in the field as well as developing new products based on a modern large FPGA.

A competitive salary will be offered depending on your level of experience, your level of education and relevant skills alongside a non-contributory pension and other benefits.

Qualifications Key Skills and Experience Essential Previous experience in a Data Engineering role: We're looking to meet experienced Data Engineers who live and breathe Data, who seek to take this best practice and use it in a dynamic environment while making waves in the industry. In-depth knowledge in most of the following technologies: o Proficient in Spark/PySpark with hands-on experience. o Azure data related technologies such as Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Event Hubs and Azure Service Bus. o Solid programming skills in Python or Scala, and strong command of SQL. o Experience with testing frameworks like pytest, ScalaTest, or similar. o Open table formats such as Delta, Iceberg or Apache Hudi. o Experience in leveraging CI/CD workflows to automate the building, testing, publishing, releasing, and deployment of code using tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and distributed version control systems such as GIT. o Understanding of cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure as code (Terraform or Bicep) Excellent communication skills.
