About The Role
The Customer Success (CS) team at Planet is seeking an experienced leader to manage our global team of Customer Success Managers focused on the Defense and Intelligence market. Our Customer Success team is on the front line of ensuring our customers leverage Planets amazing data to make a real impact on the world in areas such as the environment, defense and security and agriculture. The Global CS Director will also serve as a key voice for the CS function for the Defense and Intelligence sector globally, acting as the executive sponsor for customers and working with other cross functional leads to ensure we’re doing everything we can to drive value and satisfaction with our customers.
This is a full-time, remote position based in Germany, the Netherlands, or the United Kingdom.
Impact You’ll Own
Build and manage a talented global team focused on the Defense and Intelligence sector.
Collaborate with the Product and Sales leaders to craft a Global Defense and Intelligence strategy to drive value with existing customers and help expand the market to new customers.
Serve as Executive sponsor for Defense and Intelligence customer success initiatives.
Own Net Retention and Gross Retention targets for the Defense and Intelligence sector.
Serve as an escalation point and customer advocate for the Defense and Intelligence sector.
Serve as the voice of the customer, advocating to improve our Defense and Intelligence solutions with the Product team.
Share your success by working with Marketing teams to ensure your Defense and Intelligence team's customer success stories are shared far and wide!
What You Bring
8+ years relevant work experience and 6+ years supervisory / leadership experience.
Defense and Intelligence background
Extensive customer facing experience or equivalent experience.
Success in managing teams with an ability to inspire and empower team(s) to achieve exceptional results by fostering collaboration, providing clear direction, and cultivating a supportive environment where individuals can thrive and grow.
Exceptional customer communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Experience driving value, expansion, and renewals with customers
Ability to lead and influence others, as well as work well across distributed and cross-functional teams
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
What Makes You Stand Out
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in two or more languages
Experience with intelligence analysis and insights
Previous experience in consulting
