Marketing strategy for E-Commerce & Omnichannel transformation in Retail Sector
Location: Evesham, Worcestershire
Contract: 6 months
Our client, turnover > £250m, sells via retailers globally and needs a marketing strategist to spearhead its new B2C online / E-commerce strategy for its omnichannel transformation.
With changing customer buying behaviour, you’ll shape the strategy across ecommerce, physical retail and other channels to provide a seamless customer journey.

Agency selection and leadership to provide consumer research & market insights for the discovery phase of the “Customer of the Future”, along with future trends
With the consumer research data, create the omnichannel (Ecommerce and retailer) model & strategy, the customer journey
Identify the E-commerce solution and the digital technology required
Cross-functional leadership and stakeholder engagement for this transformation including presenting to the board.
The initial role is to deliver the Omnichannel Research & Strategy. There is potential for this role to extend after to execute the strategy and therefore deliver this Omnichannel transformation.
About You:
We’d like to hear from you if you have:
Prior marketing strategy expertise, with a successful track record of taking a retail business into E-commerce and B2C
Selected agencies, RFP processes then led the discovery for “Customer of the Future” with consumer research including the buying journey, future trends and customer segmentation.
Experience working with global consumer brands and retail ecosystems
A deep understanding of customer journeys, digital trends and online-to-offline commerce
A strong grasp of digital platforms, ecommerce technology and UX best practices
Strong stakeholder management with the ability to gain buy in, influence and negotiate to take people on this journey. You’ll know when to adapt your communication style to be concise or elaborate with detail, depending on the situation.
You’ll be a strategic thinker, analytical, curious, pro-active with a data-driven mindset and a collaborative approach. As a problem solver, you’ll be comfortable working with ambiguity and shaping “first of its kind” projects.
Location: Evesham, Worcestershire – Hybrid working – Office circa 2- 3 days per week. You need to be within reasonable commute of Evesham to attend meetings when required.
6 Month Contract – Fixed Term Contract circa £100,000 Pro Rata + private medical, pension, holidays
Potential to extend post phase 1 of strategy formation to then execute the strategy.
