The Boeing Company is currently seeking an F-22 Simulation Software Engineer (Experienced or Senior) to join the Air Dominance team located in Berkeley, Missouri. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.

This organization designs, develops, and demonstrates avionics solutions for the F-22 Raptor, the premier 5th gen air superiority fighter flown only by the United States Air Force (USAF). Your role will require you to work as a member of an agile team to create and maintain the simulation environment and infrastructure used to support the development and test of advanced capabilities of the F-22 Raptor. These models support the software engineers and are utilized in a desktop development environment for our engineers as well as hardware/software integration labs throughout the enterprise.

Our team is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including: Experienced and Senior Software Engineers.

Position Responsibilities

Develops, documents, and maintains architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems
Develops and maintains code and integrates software components into a fully functional software system
Develops software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results
Performs software project management and software supplier management functions
Develops, selects, tailors, and deploys software processes, tools and metrics
Executes and documents software research and development projects
Serves as a subject matter expert for software domains, system-specific issues, processes, and regulations
Tracks and evaluates software team and supplier performance to ensure product and process conformance to project plans and industry standards
Works under general direction

In Addition, Senior Engineer Responsibilities Include

Leads activities to develop, document and maintain architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for software systems
Leads development of code and integration of complex software components into a fully functional software system
Provides technical leadership for software projects and leads software supplier management activities
Works under minimal direction

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active). Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.

To be considered for this position you will be required to complete a technical assessment as part of the selection process. Failure to complete the assessment will remove you from consideration.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

Ability to obtain access to Special Access Programs (SAP)
2 or more years' of professional experience with Ada, C, C++, C#, JAVA, Python
Agile and willing to work in a fast paced work environment while balancing multiple tasks concurrently and paying close attention to detail
Team player, able to work in collaborative environment

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
Active Top-Secret clearance
Experience developing embedded real-time software
Experience with Agile software development

Experienced Level:
