Software & DevOps Engineer (F/M)
Octave is a cleantech scale-up on a mission to deploy cutting-edge energy management and storage solutions. We are seeking an experienced Software & DevOps Engineer, proficient in Python, to help build and scale our energy management platform.

Your role

Develop robust and scalable software solutions for our Energy Management System, and develop integrations and clients to communicate with third-party assets such as PV inverters, Battery Systems or EV chargers.
Design, build, and maintain our cloud infrastructure to manage Octave’s fleet of IoT devices.
Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines to automate deployments, testing, and monitoring.
Support observability and system monitoring using logging, metrics, and alerting tools.

What you bring to the team

Proven experience in software development, with a track record of writing production-grade Python code.
Strong knowledge of Linux system administration and IT networking.
Hands-on experience in DevOps and automation, with expertise in cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred).
Experience in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines, preferably with GitHub Actions.
Good knowledge of software security principles.
Ownership mindset: ability to work independently, take initiative, and deliver high-quality results.
Strong communication skills in English.

With some (or all) of the following points, you have a clear plus

Experience in IoT applications.
Knowledge of industrial data protocols such as Modbus and RS485.
Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools for cloud automation.
Interest in energy management or cleantech.
