Job Description:
• We are seeking a talented and motivated Solution Architect to join our Barclays Cards NGCB platform team. You will be part of a dynamic team responsible for providing advanced technical support. You will be responsible for the delivery of the development, project leadership, quality, and timely delivery of the project.
• Manage scope of projects from inception to closure. Define, develop and manage implementation schedules and project budgets.
• Identify key business objectives and provide solution recommendations while performing business proves and management consulting analysis.
• Coordinate resources, prepare project teams for kick-off and ensure effective completion of project milestones, control project scope and mitigate risks.
• Ensure project team are delivering to configuration, development, and methodology standards.
• Develop the release strategy and implement.
• Ensure delivery processes are efficient and cost effective.
• Have a deep understanding of AWS technology stack to drive end to end architecture and engineer the solutions with the development team keeping delivery timelines in mind

What We’re Looking For:
• Good technical experience in Java, Backend & Cloud( preferable AWS) architecture.
• Extensive hands-on and provide technical direction to development teams
• Strong understanding of SDLC and Architecture.
• Extensive background in development and delivering complex projects throughout the lifecycle.
• Project planning and progress monitoring, including budget control and milestone control.
• Creative problem solver, able to build contingency plans and handle stressful situations with professionalism.
• Provide leadership and direction to the Delivery teams. Handle Operational issues related to the delivery center.
• Become the Single point of contact for delivery and act as a liaison between the Service Delivery and the Customer.
• Drive and coordinate crisis management.
• Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies.
• Strong exposure to containerization, docker and CI/CD models like Jenkins pipelines
• Strong in defining and maintaining APIs with Restful standards and relevant design patterns of driving microservices based development
• Have basic working knowledge on public cloud platform, preferable AWS

Skills that will help you in the role:
• Have deep knowledge on AWS technical stack- Lambda, DynamoDB, Kinesis, API gateway ,monitoring solutions like Cloud Watch and Xray
• Have deep knowledge on event driven systems using frameworks like Active MQ, Kafka, AWS Kinesis
• Have a working experience of AWS data pipelines, Glue, S3 and Glacier storage, file transfer solutions like Data Sync.

This is a home-based role working within a growing cross functional team and offers opportunity to be hands on with the latest Salesforce products. Reporting to the Salesforce Team Lead we will be looking for you to shape, run and evolve our Salesforce deployment processes. This role will require you to effectively manage our Salesforce release processes. You should have experience with JIRA, GIT and CI/CD. You will be overseeing the end-to-end process of deploying changes, updates and configurations within the Salesforce platform across our QA, UAT and PROD environments. What Your Impact Will Be As release manager you will schedule, coordinate, communicate and oversee the deployment of updates for our Salesforce estate without disrupting on-going operations. Responsible for representing the Salesforce estate at the CAB approval meetings aligned to the European JELD-WEN process. Monitor Salesforce updates and ensure the team are prepared for key releases. Keep track of all changes made to Salesforce and ensure alignment within the team. Leading on the improvement of our release and pipeline management processes. This includes GIT, JIRA, and CI/CD.
