Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Guidewire Cloud Architect to lead the architecture, design, and implementation of Guidewire Cloud Platform (GWCP) solutions for insurance and reinsurance carriers. As part of a System Integration (SI) partner team, you will play a critical role in modernizing core insurance systems, enabling seamless integration, and driving cloud transformation initiatives.

You will collaborate with insurance carriers, technical teams, and cloud providers to design scalable, high-performance, and secure Guidewire solutions tailored for insurance operations, underwriting, claims, billing, and reinsurance processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Architecture & Solution Design:


Design and architect Guidewire Cloud Platform (GWCP) solutions for insurance and reinsurance carriers.
Develop cloud-native architectures leveraging AWS and Azure to support core insurance applications.
Develop and implement the solutions for Guidewire on-prem to cloud.
Define and implement API-led, event-driven, and microservices-based integration strategies for PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter, Reinsurance Management.
Establish best practices for Guidewire DataHub, InfoCenter, and AI-driven analytics solutions.
Drive legacy system modernization and define data migration strategies from on-premises systems to Guidewire Cloud.
Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and industry standards for insurance and reinsurance businesses.
Solution and Develop Guidewire Cloud based API’s.


System Integration & Implementation:


Lead end-to-end integration between Guidewire applications and external platforms like CRM, Payments, AI models, Data Lakes, Catastrophe Risk Modelling Systems (RMS, AIR).
Define cloud adoption roadmaps, hybrid cloud strategies, and multi-cloud deployments.
Guide implementation teams on Guidewire configurations, extensions, and customization for all lines of Business and reinsurance workflows.
Oversee performance optimization, scalability, and resilience of Guidewire applications in a cloud environment.
Work closely with underwriters, actuaries, and claims teams to align technical architecture with business goals.


Stakeholder Management & Advisory:


Act as a technical advisor to insurance carriers and SI teams, ensuring successful cloud transformation.
Engage with C-level executives, product owners, and business stakeholders to align technology with insurance operations.
Conduct technical workshops, Proof of Concepts (PoCs), and innovation initiatives for Guidewire-based solutions.
Provide ongoing governance, risk assessment, and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.


Required Skills & Experience:


Experience in enterprise architecture, system integration, and cloud transformation.
Experience in Guidewire implementation experience (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter, and Reinsurance Management).
Deep expertise in Guidewire Cloud Platform (GWCP), API integration, and cloud-native insurance architectures.
Strong experience with AWS and Azure for deploying Guidewire solutions.
Hands-on expertise in Gosu, Java, REST APIs, GraphQL, and event-driven architectures (Kafka, AWS EventBridge, etc.).
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and DevOps methodologies.
Solid understanding of reinsurance workflows, ceded/reinsurance accounting, risk modelling, and catastrophe risk management.
Experience with data migration, ETL processes, and data warehouse integration for insurance analytics.
Strong stakeholder management, consulting, and leadership skills.


Skills & Qualifications:


Experience with Guidewire Claims Centre (V9 or V10), GOSU programming, and system integrations.
Guidewire certifications in V9 or V10 is a must.
Experience in London Market projects is an add on.
Understand claims data model and the application landscape.
Experience is integrating Guidewire claim centre with downstream systems including the finance systems and document management systems.
Experience in migration of legacy systems to Guidewire application.
Experience is Guidewire on perm migration to cloud migration
Experience in working in projects in a distributed Agile environment (Offshore/nearshore/onshore).
Ability to work directly with business partners and translate business requirements into system requirements.
Strong knowledge of the insurance domain particularly claims processes.
Experience in cloud data platform integration and data reconciliation with data warehouses.
Familiarity with source code management tools like GitHub and Subversion.
Guidewire Configuration certification (preferred), with experience in Agile methodologies.
