Essential Skills And Qualifications
Commercial or academic experience in developing machine learning models (e.g., clustering, classification, regression, NLP).
Comfortable working in Python and using key data science packages.
Working knowledge of SQL.
Ability to articulate technical findings in business terms and demonstrate value to stakeholders.
Desirable Skills And Qualifications
Understanding of code best practice including Git.
Familiarity with AWS data science services, including SageMaker.
Experience working with PySpark to process data at scale.
Proficiency in data visualization tools e.g. Tableau.

Purpose of the role
To use innovative data analytics and machine learning techniques to extract valuable insights from the bank's data reserves, leveraging these insights to inform strategic decision-making, improve operational efficiency, and drive innovation across the organisation.
Accountabilities
Identification, collection, extraction of data from various sources, including internal and external sources.
Performing data cleaning, wrangling, and transformation to ensure its quality and suitability for analysis.
Development and maintenance of efficient data pipelines for automated data acquisition and processing.
Design and conduct of statistical and machine learning models to analyse patterns, trends, and relationships in the data.
Development and implementation of predictive models to forecast future outcomes and identify potential risks and opportunities.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to seek out opportunities to add value from data through Data Science.

What The Role Involves You will be part of the Technical Intelligence (TechInt) team. The team’s main function is to recon the blockchain industry and feed the company with new trends and projects. The TechInt team has automatized the recon process by utilizing a data lake and machine learning. The team currently harvests data from a variety of different sources. This data gets fed into different systems that then show this data as a report. You are responsible for maintaining and setting up data solutions and services. A key part would be to aid in the maturation of the data ingestion pipeline and processes. Moreover, you would be expected to create a state-of-the-art data warehouse which would be cloud-native. In your daily job, you do a mix of data engineering, and cloud infrastructure management. Develop and maintain automated data ingestion (API or crawling) pipelines from source code repositories, social media, and on-chain analytics. Simplify existing data pipelines - re-architecting where necessary. Research existing datasets to figure out their relevance - and remove irrelevant data pipelines and sources. Design a data warehouse that can be queried by analysts and APIs, and that will serve as a data backend for a reporting web application. Collaborate with data scientists to operationalize ML models and deploy them into production environments. Work closely with leadership to understand and define requirements, ensuring alignment with the department’s strategy and roadmap. My client is a ‘bleeding edge’ oncology focused biotech that have a well-established AI platform for their drug discovery, decision making, target nomination and target-pair indication evaluation.
