Role Overview

Parallel is a fast-paced scale up with the backing of parent company Sewell Group. To support growing client demands and an expanding product range, Parallel is looking to grow its developer team and take the business to the next level.

The Software Developer will work alongside the Lead Developer and the wider development team to deliver a series of software and data projects, to help modernise existing technology platforms and develop new products for new markets.

We are seeking a full stack Software Developer to play an integral part in the technical delivery of the company's products. The successful candidate will have relevant commercial development experience, have great attention to detail and be a team player.

Requirements

Essential:

Professional experience in full stack coding
Significant experience of working with and developing on databases and RDBMS solutions (MS SQL preferred)
Significant experience developing using .NET
Proficient in project management and hold excellent organisation skills, across multiple workstreams often at pace
A team player and strong communicator, with clients and colleagues
Possess a positive approach to problem solving, with a process driven method to approach design solutions and a keen eye for user experience
Proficient in the use of HTML, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript
Have effective and efficient time management skills
Good decision-making skills
Passion for technology, ongoing learning and client satisfaction
Awareness of the importance of security, data protection and confidentiality

Desirable:

Experienced in building SPAs, ideally using Blazor
Experience of developing Power Platform/Power Apps/Power BI solutions
Experience in data manipulation and analysis
Experience in developing and utilising APIs
Experience of geo-mapping formats, approaches or tools
Experience of other databases (ideally PostgreSQL or Redis) and Object-Relational Mapping frameworks (ideally Entity Framework or Eloquent)
Experience of Cloud services/technologies (ideally MS Azure)
Knowledge of XML and JSON for defining content structures
Experience of developing in Laravel/PHP
