Cybersecurity Presales Engineer
What will your job entail?
You’ll work with a driven and talented team of engineers who are specialized in different vendor technologies. Within this team, you’ll be responsible for the presales activities. You’ll use your expertise and experience to improve our services. We focus on Telecom, Service Providers and Enterprises, which means our projects are truly challenging and innovative. Evolving and developing yourself quickly is part of the job!
One of our core values is expertise. As a Presales Engineer, you’ll use this expertise to become the most important link between the customer and his new network. Your job is essential for the success of our business!
Your responsibilities as a Cybersecurity Presales Engineer at Nomios include (but are not limited to):
Collaborate with the sales team by acting as technical expert in customer presentations. You will determine the technical requirements to meet the customer’s goals and act as liaison between our sales and engineering team.
Design, implement, and manage POCs to demonstrate the viability of cybersecurity products within a customer's environment.
Design and propose detailed cybersecurity solutions tailored to customer needs, including network architecture, endpoint security, and threat detection systems.
Collaborate with the sales and proposal teams to answer technical sections of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs).
Continuously stay informed about the latest trends, threats, and technologies in cybersecurity to provide relevant and timely solutions to customers.
Analyze competitor products, security features, and market positioning to identify strengths and weaknesses.
Develop strategies to highlight the advantages of your Nomios’ cybersecurity offerings against competitors during customer discussions.
You will fully document the work delivered and collaborate closely with the project manager to ensure successful delivery.
Job requirements
What are we looking for in our Presales Engineer?
You have at least 5 years of experience as a Security Engineer or Presales Engineer Security.
Our ideal presales engineer has a strong background in engineering and transitioned to a presales role several years ago. The commercial part of it, the demos, presentations, … is something that gives you energy and you like the combination of the technical and sales focus.
You have demonstrated knowledge and hands-on technical experience with product from Fortinet, Palo Alto, Crowdstrike, Armis, … You know your way around with SIEM, EDR and/or NDR. Experience with SOAR is a plus!
You can prove your level of expertise with some of these relevant certifications (e.g. FCP or higher, CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security , or GCIH).
You have an entrepreneurial and proactive attitude, and strong communication skills;
You have in-depth technical knowledge and are able to explain this to a customer;
You combine your empathy with a considerable dose of goal orientation. You have a strong sense of responsibility, you’re flexible and have no problem with managing stress;
You are decisive, diplomatic and have an eye for process optimization. As a team player you’re willing to share your knowledge with your colleagues, you’re committed and have a positive mindset;
You’re innovative and interested in new trends in your field;
You speak and write English fluently, and you have a basic knowledge of Dutch and/or French;
You already live in Belgium, which makes it easy to come to our office in Zaventem.
