The DevOps team is responsible for contributing to and reusing a set of standards-based DevOps patterns within a shared DevOps culture that will enable the Developers they partner with to accelerate the time-to-market of critical software applications to the Cloud and on-prem.

This is an opportunity to collaborate locally and across the globe with highly motivated and knowledgeable Architecture, Application Delivery Engineers,

Site Reliability Engineers, and Developers in our effort to continually improve the DevOps capabilities.

Our Lead DevOps at LSEG are responsible for ensuring the global availability of our analytics application and services. We place a high degree of trust and responsibility in the hands of our DevOps. The work is 80% in the public cloud (AWS/Azure), and 20% on Prem.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software system requirements and objectives.
Design, develop, and maintain software applications infrastructures, focusing on scalability, reliability, automation, and performance.
Develop, Implement, and maintain DevOps practices, including continuous integration, deployment, and automated testing.
Providing technical support to Operations or other development teams.
Manage software configuration, deployment, and release processes.
Monitor and optimize cloud costs.
Monitor and maintain applications security profile.

Candidate Profile / Key Skills:

2+ years of professional experience in DevOps practices and Cloud
Knowledge/experience of Azure or AWS Cloud Technologies (AKS, ACR, Azure Functions, Azure Web App etc.).
Good knowledge of IaC and related technologies such as Terraform
Proficiency with Version Control Tools and CI/CD Tools (Git, GitLab) and related concepts such as branching/versioning strategies etc.
Hands-on experience in developing CICD workflows/pipelines.
Docker, containerisation and related orchestration frameworks such as Kubernetes
Positive demeanour about learning new skills and technologies.
Dedicated, goal-oriented teammate with good interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in highly agile, Sprint-based team environment.

Bonus

Intimate knowledge of Linux environments, including system administration, networking, IAM, and well-developed problem solving skills.
Good knowledge with implementing security standards inside the CI/CD pipelines (Sonarqube, Semgrep etc.)

Education/ Certifications:

A relevant degree or equivalent experience is desirable, but the right approach to work are just as important.
AWS/Azure certification a nice to have.
