We are looking for:

If you are a tech-savvy individual with a passion for helping others, join our team as an IT Desktop Support Technician, where you’ll play a crucial role in delivering high-quality support to our users at the Hoddesdon site. As part of our dedicated IT team, you will work closely with the Senior IT Desktop Support Technician to ensure smooth day-to-day operations of our technology systems and provide exceptional support to our internal users.

Key roles and responsibilities:

Tech Support: Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware (computers, printers, copiers, scanners, etc.), software, operating systems, networking equipment, and firewalls, ensuring everything runs smoothly and according to established standards.
User Assistance: Provide responsive support to internal customers via phone, email, or remote control to resolve issues and enhance user experience.
Account Management: Manage user accounts, including access rights, file and folder permissions, ensuring seamless access to resources.
App Roll-out & Evaluation: Support the deployment of new applications, test emerging technologies, and actively contribute to the innovation of our tech stack.
Incident Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve hardware and software issues, diagnosing problems across various operating systems and applications, and implementing effective solutions.
Hardware Repairs: Replace faulty parts and carry out necessary repairs to keep systems running at peak performance.
User Training: Empower users by providing training on the proper use of hardware and software, boosting self-sufficiency and reducing dependency on support.
Inventory & Archiving: Maintain an accurate inventory of hardware and software, ensure proper archiving of electronic records, and manage data backup to protect critical business information.
Security Monitoring: Ensure the security of all technologies by regularly monitoring and addressing potential risks.


Requirements:

High level experience with computer hardware systems and Windows operating systems
Computer network installation and administration experience
Troubleshooting and user support
Microsoft Windows Core Technologies and Server Administration
SQL Database Management
IT Security Knowledge
Exceptional customer service skills
