Job Specifications

We are Chapter 3 Transformation (C3T) - a growing consulting firm passionate about transforming operations in the service sector. Our reputation is built on pragmatic, hands-on support for our clients, helping them to consistently deliver on their promises.

At C3T, we live and breathe service operations best practice, not just in theory, but in real, tangible ways that help businesses thrive. We get out of bed in the morning to give our clients the competitive edge they need through smarter, stronger, and more resilient operations.

We are on the lookout for freelance associate consultants who know their stuff, love making an impact, and deliver excellent results.

Who We Are
We are a tight-knit team of highly experienced, down-to-earth professionals who take our work seriously - but not ourselves. There’s no room for inflated egos here. We focus on getting the job done right, with a healthy dose of humility, good humour, and a determination to do what’s best for our clients.

Our team is a blend of permanent staff, associates, and partners, which means we build project teams based on expertise and best fit for our clients - not just whoever is available. That’s why the associate model is core to our business. We take the time to get to know our associates so we can collaborate effectively and deliver the best results.

We’ve walked in our clients’ shoes and know the pressure of budgets, competing priorities, and ever-growing expectations. There are no cookie-cutter solutions here - we co-design solutions with our clients, rather than imposing rigid frameworks that don’t fit.

What We Do
We specialize in service operations - which, in plain English, means we help businesses run better. From tactical operations improvement and turnarounds through to operating model and multi-year, global transformation design and delivery, we do it all.

Operations touches every corner of a business, so we’re just as comfortable helping a Marketing team transform their global operating model as we are tackling the nuts and bolts of a more traditional back-office operation.

Sometimes, we’re working from a blank slate, defining the problem, building a roadmap and working with our clients to deliver the transformation. Other times, we’re diving into implementation mode, helping clients turn plans into action.

A lot of our work is in Financial Services, so if you have experience in FS operations, we’d love to hear from you. That said, we’re open minded about where you’ve worked before - we value the diverse skills and insights you bring, regardless of where you’ve honed them.

We’re respected for delivering tangible results, not just PowerPoint slides - though, of course, a solid PowerPoint still has its place and is not to be overlooked.

About You
You’re an experienced consultant with real operational know-how, or an operational leader with transformation experience. You have the adaptability to hit the ground running on a diverse range of projects, and the emotional intelligence to navigate complex challenges with clients.

You’re comfortable working with people at all levels of the organisation and are equally at home presenting to a boardroom as you are working with frontline teams to make things happen. You’re practical, flexible, and comfortable wearing multiple hats.

We don’t claim to have all the answers—and neither should you. The best results come from collaboration, so we value humility, curiosity, and a willingness to learn. You proactively seek feedback, embrace fresh ideas, and enjoy being part of a team that values your expertise rather than simply dictating how you should work.

As technology and AI continue to reshape industries, you’ll need to stay on top of best practices and emerging trends - helping our clients leverage technology without getting lost in the hype or the theory.

While we’re based in the UK, our clients are global. If you speak another language fluently (especially French, German or Spanish), let us know—it’s always a big plus!

Why Work With Us as an Associate?
Being an associate at C3T isn’t just about filling gaps when we’re busy—it’s a core part of how we work, and a great benefit to our clients. We’re the opposite of transactional, which means we’re all about long-term relationships, with our clients as well as our associates, who are trusted and valued members of the team.

Here’s what you can expect:

· Meaningful work – we partner with fantastic clients who bring real challenges to the table, that we’d love to share with you
· Respect & inclusion – whether you’re an associate or permanent team member, you’re an equal part of the team. Clients won’t know the difference, and that’s the way it should be
· A sense of belonging – we get together for regular catch-ups and social events, even if you’re not currently on a project with us. You’ll always know what’s going on and feel connected
· A supportive culture – we work hard, but we look out for each other too. If you want to be part of something bigger than the work you do solo, this is the place for you

Interested? Let’s Talk!

If this sounds like your sort of thing, we’d love to hear from you. Please email us at opportunities@c3tuk.com with a CV and a short covering letter outlining why you think we’re a good fit for each other.
