About the Role
Nscale is looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to join our cloud platform product team. You will build and maintain our web-based cloud console, ensuring a consistent user experience across our platform.
The ideal candidate has experience with front-end development, CLI design, and cloud platforms. You will write clean, well-tested code that follows modern UI/UX standards and work closely with our team to deliver products for our customers. While this role focuses on UI engineering, we operate in a cross-functional environment where engineers are expected to contribute beyond their core expertise and support various aspects of our platform development.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Lead the development of high-impact features.
Work closely with product designers to maintain and enhance our design systems.
Collaborate with backend and infrastructure teams to integrate innovative solutions.
Implement best practices in React JS development and maintain clean, well-tested code.
Ensure the highest standards of UI performance and accessibility.
Proactively identify and address technical challenges.
Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making.
Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
About You:
Must-Have Skills, Experience & Qualifications
5+ years of experience in front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
Expert-level knowledge of TypeScript.
Strong proficiency in React & Next.js.
Experience consuming OpenAPI 3.0+ specs to build apps integrating with microservices.
Familiarity with building and maintaining shared component libraries.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field (or equivalent practical experience)
Nice to Have:
Experience with Tailwind CSS.
Familiarity with GitOps, Kubernetes, and Docker.
Experience building services in Go.
Knowledge of end-to-end testing as part of a CI/CD pipeline.
Please Note: We're currently working remotely, but plan to transition to a hybrid working model in 2025 as we look to secure a modern office space in London.
