Desia operates remote-first, with the team working in GMT +/- 2 hours for synchronization. Our London team works from the office 2 to 3 days per week.

Your responsibilities
As a Platform Engineer at Desia, you will be responsible for maintaining and monitoring our services deployed on Google Cloud Platform, implementing multi-cloud deployment strategies, ensuring high availability and reliability across all environments. You will play a key role in expanding and enhancing our event-driven architecture, contributing innovative ideas and implementing robust solutions to complex scalability challenges. Working at the intersection of infrastructure and development, you will collaborate closely with both Product and Development teams to support business objectives and drive technical excellence.

Must-have skills
Hands-on experience with cloud-native services on GCP
Kubernetes expertise, including container orchestration and cluster management
DevOps mindset with proven experience in Helm and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
Ability to troubleshoot complex system issues and implement effective solutions

Nice-to-have skills
Experience with CI/CD (GitHub Actions)
Node.js experience
Database administration (Postgres)
Interest in continuously learning and adopting emerging technologies
Hands-on experience with cloud-native services on Azure

Our tech stack

Qualifications
Holding a Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field or possessing similar practical experience.
A minimum of 3 years professional experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering or Backend roles
