THE ROLE

GFG is looking for a Head of Investor Relations & Communications to join our team in the London office. In this role, you’ll report directly to the CFO and manage an analyst. You’ll also work closely with the CEO, broader Strategy and Finance teams and senior leadership across the global business. In this role, you’ll gain a diverse and engaging experience in supporting the Company's investor relations activities, external communications and strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities

Investor Relations:

Own relationships with current and prospective investors which includes responding to investor communications, building and running an investor targeting programme and investor education
Build and maintain effective relationships with sell-side analysts and onboard new ones
Lead the quarterly reporting process with support from the broader Finance team, as well as co-ordinating results days and roadshow events
Create and deliver all investor external materials, including earning call presentations and press releases, to communicate financial and strategic updates to investors and analysts
Support the delivery of the Annual Report, Half-Year Report, People & Planet Positive Report and Annual General Meeting
Attend and participate in investor conferences and events
Develop compelling investment cases by identifying key trends and drivers of business performance
Ensure that the Group meets its regulatory obligations for investor communications and generally complies with market standards and the standards set by our peers
Track and assess sell-side analyst models, analyse peer performance and provide financial support for external messaging
Analyse Group long-term plan to drive guidance setting process
Monitor peer, sector and market performance and updates
Support on corporate transactions

Communications:

Serve as primary contact for all media contacts and build and maintain relationships
Own all external channels for brand consistency and develop content, including across the company website and social media pages
Develop and execute strategic communications in response to Groupwide topics including crises, leadership and executive communications and regular business updates such as results publications
Provide strategic communication support to the CEO office, including preparing speeches, presentations and briefing materials for key business topics
Work closely with internal teams across regions and functions to align corporate communication strategies with Group objectives and initiatives and ensure all external communications are in line with our obligations as a listed company

What It Takes

Relevant work experience in an investor relations, strategy or finance related role ideally gained from another corporate including corporate development, investment banking or consulting
Creative eye with excellent written skills and ability to build engaging presentations and external ready materials
Ability to understand financial concepts and experience in using financial data for strategic analysis
Ability to translate complex information and messages into clear, concise and visually compelling reports and presentations using Excel and Powerpoint. A plus if already familiar with Google Suite tools (or have a creative mind ready to adapt)
Confident digital literacy - effectively and efficiently use technology and systems in day-to-day work (and / or willingness to learn)
Highly organised and able to thrive in a busy environment juggling multiple competing priorities
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to adapt effectively to different audiences at all levels - internally and externally
A self-starter with a "can-do" attitude and results oriented with a growth mindset
Experience in retail / ecommerce is not essential, but a knowledge and appreciation of the industry is an advantage
