The role
Are you a Power Platform or Dynamics 365 Developer who knows your way around a sprint? We are looking for a Developer with strong Agile experience to join our IT Solutions Development Team, on a fixed term contract of at least 12 months. Someone who is excited to work with modern technologies and is motivated by building new software and applications that meet unique user needs.
We’ve embraced Agile and Scrum methodologies at Selwood, so if you’re someone who enjoys these practices and has a flair for managing sprints, we'd love to chat. Even better if you’re already Scrum Master!
However, you won't just be a developer. You’ll also be an advocate for the team’s applications, collaborating closely with stakeholders, understanding their challenges and demonstrating how our solutions can make their lives easier. If you can explain complex concepts in a way that resonates, and want to build strong relationships across the business, this role will fit you like a glove.
We have a huge focus on personal development and you will be encouraged to take on a specialism within the team, with plenty of resources and support to bolster your skillset and grow as a developer.
We value collaboration and get together in the office on Wednesdays, but outside of that you can work where you want, and you’ll have the autonomy and freedom to approach problems how you see fit.
What are we looking for?
Strong experience in Dynamics 365 and Power Platform (PowerApps/Power Automate/PowerBi) or other relevant technologies. Formal Microsoft certifications a big plus
Agile experience (scrums, sprints and retrospectives)
Strong, demonstrable problem-solving, analytical, lateral thinking, troubleshooting and investigation skills
Knowledge of source control (Git)
Experience with Azure DevOps for managing workflows
Excellent interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence, able to empathise and develop relationships.
Able to work autonomously; self-motivated, organised and able to take responsibility for planning own tasks and delivering outcomes.
