Job Summary
Marriott International is seeking a PowerBI Analyst to support the Finance, Reporting & Analytics (FR&A) team in EMEA. This role combines data analysis and PowerBI development, ensuring the effective integration, visualization, and automation of business intelligence solutions. The PowerBI Analyst will develop, optimize, and maintain dashboards, reports, and automation solutions while collaborating with stakeholders to support data-driven decision-making.
The role also promotes the adoption of Power Platform technologies (Power Automate, PowerApps) to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency. While the role emphasizes analysis, reporting, and visualization, the ideal candidate should have foundational development skills to integrate complex data sources, automate processes, and improve analytical outputs.
This is a full-time role offering an opportunity to grow technical expertise in business intelligence, automation, and data analytics within a global hospitality company.
Key Responsibilities
Dashboard & Report Development
Design, develop, and maintain PowerBI dashboards and reports to provide actionable insights.
Gather business requirements and ensure data visualization best practices are followed.
Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and alignment with key business objectives.
Implement advanced DAX formulas and Power Query transformations to optimize reporting.
Data Integration & Management
Assist in integrating multiple data sources (Excel, SQL, Power Platform, PostgreSQL).
Optimize data models, calculations, and ETL processes for performance and efficiency.
Support automation of data extraction, transformation, and reporting workflows.
Automation & Process Optimization
Utilize Power Automate and PowerApps to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual workloads.
Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and enhance data collection processes.
Support the development of custom tools using VBA or Python to enhance reporting capabilities.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Support
Work with cross-functional teams to understand business intelligence needs.
Provide training and guidance to end-users on PowerBI tools and best practices.
Assist in troubleshooting and resolving data-related issues.
Continuous Improvement & Innovation
Stay updated on PowerBI, Power Platform, and industry trends to enhance analytics capabilities.
Identify opportunities to improve data processing, reporting automation, and efficiency.
Recommend and implement process improvements based on analytics insights.
Documentation & Training
Develop user guides, documentation, and best practices for PowerBI reports.
Conduct training sessions for stakeholders on business intelligence tools.
Ensure knowledge transfer and scalability of analytics solutions.
Candidate Profile
Experience & Skills
1-3 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related field.
Hands-on experience with PowerBI (DAX, Power Query, dashboard development).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
Experience with Power Platform (Power Automate, PowerApps) is highly preferred.
Basic knowledge of database management and SQL querying (PostgreSQL preferred).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, including VBA, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Familiarity with Python for data processing and automation is a plus.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate data insights into business recommendations.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Education & Qualifications
Degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field preferred.
Certification in PowerBI or data analytics tools is desirable but not required.
Fluency in English (written and verbal) is essential.
